Hi all. A friend found a kitten yeaterday, brought it to our house yesterday morning. It has been ok until this evening. it throw up once so far, and has the diarehha, once so far.
I have a kitten that is 2 and 1/2 months old, so I have separated them. They have played until now.
    Help.

vet....that's the most important help. And if your kitten isn't up to date on shots best do it now.
A kitten can go downhill very quickly with diaherrea (and that is spelled wrong) or vomiting. It won't take long at all.
and if it's something contagious (and I'd be worrying about distemper cause that's the way I think) it won't be long before your kitten gets sick.
Yes I am the predicter of doom....but so many things can go wrong with kittens that are left on their own cause they are exposed to so many nasty things.
So please get ye and both kittens to the vet and quickly.

I wanted to add....please do not try to treat with over the counter crap like Haartz products. Save your money - they are useless and can be dangerous. Best to spend your hardearned $$ with stuff you get from the vet.
Could be parasite related or even food related....but better safe than sorry.
Please let us know what the vet says.

I wouldn't rush right out...but I wouldn't wait too long either (like putting it off until next week). It could very well be something simple...but, and I'm assuming the kitten your friend found was on its own - you can never be too careful.
Oh and a hug to your friend for saving this kitten.
Would love to see pictures of the 2.
I fostered a litter of kittens a couple of years ago whose momma was very ill. In a matter of hours I nearly lost one (they were very young though...approx. 3-4 weeks). It was so quick it scared me silly. They can crash quickly

watch for dehydration- it can kill a kitten in a matter of hours. Also loss of minerals/electrolytes/potassium due to fluid loss. give pedialyte according to directions.
