I took a picture of each of my bettas just to see how they came out and I was surprised that I could actually see either of them! Well here they are:

    Hirr: (1yr)

    Spoiler: (6mo.)

Nice, but yea it is blury, im guessing either a bad camera, took the picture to close up, or because its a bowl, it blurs the pic.'

    Well anyway they look nice.

It's blurry because taking pictures though glass with a disposable camera is tricky work. All my other pictures came out beautiful.

well, i got my bettas from a place called the pet store. it's a local one, not a big chain. i think it's actually called "The Pet Shop" or something like that, there isn't really a sign...

I cant exactly tell but i think the darker colored one is a viel tail, and the lighter one looks like a double tail or something... wut type are they? You can kinda of identify by the price, a viel tail costs about 3-6 $ depending on if the store is ripping u off or not, a double tail is about 10-15 $. and ive only seen half moons for a solid $20. there are more types such are crown tails, but i havent seen any.

Viel tails were actually a mishap betta, it "mutated" tht shape of a tail in some kind of a river or something, soon they became numerous and popular when people started breeding and dying them. (at least thts the story the internet tells) These days compared to half moons and all those pretty bettas, viels are "ugly" and if u do breed em at home, a pet store will give u close to nothing for them.

I still think viels are nice, i had one of the most beautiful viel tails ever. All black with all red fins with some shiny blue around his gills and fins.

Yes, my darker Betta, Spoiler is a Veil Tail, but my other, Hirr is a Crown Tail. They both only cost $3. I've also seen a bunch of different looking bettas at my pet store for the same price. There's a delta tail I'm considering. I actually think the Veil tail bettas are the prettiest ones, most of the Half Moons I've seen have ugly faces, they only look nice when they're flaring, and I don't like my bettas to flare.
