cat that adopted us.........

Just thought you all might like to see our new family member. He showed up awhile back really scared and spooked off really easy. I finally got him to calm down and he is the most loving guy I have met. You can roll him on his back and rub his tummy and his front feet will start kneading everything in site. He is wonderful. No one has claimed him so I told my girls that it looks like we have a new family member. I just don't know why someone would dump him out. He is even neutered. The oldest daughter has named him Rascal. My youngest daughter was having a hard time remembering his name and I heard "Ruffles" coming out of her mouth quite a bit. :lol:

maybe he wasn't tossed - maybe he got lost. Either way glad he's now got a home again

Thanks for all your replies! I have talked with the vets office and posted found cat posters in the grocery stores and no one responded so I told the girls that he is now ours.

He is so spoiled already it is sad! LOL. We have all fallen in love with him already.

 

I assumed he was tossed out cause I know if my cat came up missing I'd do everything in my power to find him ( putting up poster, checking out the animal shelters, vet offices, etc ). Either way it doesn't matter he's found a great home with pomlover.

 

What a great looking cat! Congrats to both of you. This is similar to how Luna adopted us.

Just a thought, have you had him scanned by a vet for a microchip? That's how we found Luna's ex-human. He still let us adopt her, though, thankfully.

Yes, we did have him scanned and there was nothing. I made sure all that was done before I told the girls that we could keep him. I didn't want them thinking that he was theirs and then rip him out from under them.
