Ok, I have read about intrducing the two slowly, but we didnt try that. I left the kitten in my room for a couple of days, and then just left the door open for her to walk freely out of when she was ready. The problem is my 16 year old cat tortures her. She sits outside the door, or outside my bed and waits for my kitten to move. Plus, the kitten won't go anywhere else in the house except my room and across the hall. I have had her for 3 weeks now and I was wondering if there is anything I can do now. I also was wondering if the reason they don't get along is because the kitten hasn't been spayed yet and if my adult cat see's her as a threat.

start over - treat the kitten like it's day #1. The website has good stuff of integrating an existing cat with a new one.
But i would simply start over - keeping the kitten isolated for 10-14 days, switch bedding so they can get used to each other's smells, put up a baby gate or something to separate them and after the days are up let them sniff each other through the barrier and allow more exposure time every day.
