i was chopping some lettuce few days ago and i droped small peices on the floor. max ran to see what they were and started to eat them. and then meawed for more. so i gave him more..and he ate it. this morning..i peeled a cucumber. max sniffed the peel..and took one of them and started eating it. he finished it all. is it normal for a cat to eat veg.?
    does ur cat do that?
just wondering :D cuz i have never seen a cat like veg before

Kyrre eats small amounts of certaing veggies and fruits, like corn and apple. I was suprised that he ate apple actually, they're pretty sour... But I've heard about alot of kitties eating vegetables so I don't think you need to worry. Healthy Max...

My kitties won't touch vegetables. Very interesting about your kitty.
I don't think veggies would hurt a kitty, but I've never checked into it.

Vene used to attack spinach and lettus and eat them occassionally. She also loved to eat cantaloupe like there's no tomorrow. Pumpkin will eat cooked peas and carrots and corn without the husks. A little vegetable or fruit in their diet can't hurt them. Most lettus + cucumbers have no nutritional value other than the water content so they are pretty harmless. It would be real neat if you took pics of vegetables on top of Max for the photo contest but I've seen you've already gotten awesome pics!

Some of my cats love peas and green beans. Others will eat cooked carrots and brocoli. I don't give them corn because I am afraid since humans don't digest it, either will kitty. I notice that when I don't have cat grass, some of the cats seem to want the leftover veggies from our dinner plates. Some just snub the veggies. I've never heard it was unwise to feed cats vegetables.

Some of my cats like green peas too. Tiddy will eat just about anything edible.
