A Screaming Puppy, scared?

I was wondering if anyone has ever had their animal get so scared that he/she made sounds as if they were screaming and peed on the spot.
I have a 6 month old puppy and so far his behavior has been great. I have a 9 year old daughter and he has been around children of all ages, he goes to the dog parks and socializes with dogs of all sizes. However, the other day we had a child sized doll (court jester) sitting on the kitchen counter. My mother had pulled it out of the box. Initially he started to bark at it which we thought was cute because he rarely barks. Then all of a sudden he started to scream (or what sounded like screaming) and I ran around the table thinking he hurt himself and he just stood there with little wet drops under him. It was not a whimper or yelp. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Ok. I'm not going to get into my "possessed and spiritual"side. But it could be that it is scaring him from "past lives" and such....

I know Smokey absolutely HATES my brass statue of a horse. COme to find out that statue was from an OLD horse track that burned down. Apparently (a friend of mine) bought the old place and found part of it sticking up out of the ground. I honestly think that spirits inhibit it. That or he's picking up on vibes from the pain and horror of the horses that died in the fire. I don't know!

I'm not saying thats what it is... but be open to it.

Do you know the background of the doll? Is it old? Perhaps for now, I'd just put it away where he can't see it.

One thing about dogs. htey can scence things that we cannot. Perhaps he knows something that you don't about it.

My Brie does that when she's scared but is trying to be brave. She and my other doxie will bark like crazy at the HUGE bulldog type dog on the other side of my neighbor's double fence. One day he poked his head through the wooden part but was still separated by the wire. She got to see what she was barking at and started yelping like she was hurt but I was standing there and could she wasn't! She also did it when I was baby sitting a young ACD that wouldn't leave her alone. It starts like a bark and then sounds like a yelp. Usually accompanied by hackles raised and tail tucked. And probably some tee-tee drops.

Did your dog have a previous home? Maybe the person was a clown?? But I have seen dogs do that when they are afraid.
