A very special Bond with Boo

I'm sure by now everyone knows Boo... If you don't, he's my little show club calf that I've raised as my own child from day one and then he was brutally attacked by a rottweiler.

Well, oddly enough he has really taken to Precious and Precious to him. Atr first when bringing the dogs home, he was horrified. He'd run and run and hide from them. When they wanted to check him out, he'd shiver and then take off...

Over the past few days he's learned that they aren't going to hurt him and after what he's been through I can understand why he is fearful.

Well, Now Precious has become Boo's protector. Boo hangs out near the kennels and at night sleeps next to it. He even breaks out of his pen to be near her.

Precious will not let ANYTHING near the boy. Especially the cats.
When its time to do therapy, he'll hollar and here comes Precious. She'll push me outta the way and give him a loving kiss like everything is going to be ok.

Poor Precious. I have to krate her while I work with him. If I don't it sure makes it awfuly hard to hydro his legs with a dog inbetween us!!

 

Oh my, that's just bought tears to my eyes. I read it out to boyfriend and he's welling up too. (I've kept him informed on this)

That's the sweetest show of affection I've ever heard

 

Awe...that's so sweet. Boo and his story touched my heart too. I'm glad he has a protector!!

He's such a shiester!! He'll hollar really loud like I'm killing him or something just to have her near him...

Right now their all swimming... litterally. We're getting a monsoon. It hasn't rained in months and now all the sudden it's a non stop downpoor.

Granvel elevated the dog houses with big tires last night to keep them outta the water... Poor Kabuki thinks she's beeing tortured. But they will not behave in the house, and we're still working on it so there's really dangerous things all over the house that they could get into.... So their just toughin out the flood for now.

 

If it gets bad, can you gate them into one room? I find it much easier to supervise and clean ONE room than the whole house.
