Hi everyone. I adopted a cat today, I'm picking her up tomorow evening. I was wondering if you guys feed your cats just dry food, a mix of the two, or just wet. With my old cats i left out a bowl of dry stuff and feed them some wet in the am and pm.is that ok? Thanks

Congrats! Hope you will post some pictures of your new addition.

Thats sounds like a good plan IMO. Mine get dry and canned food.

    Congrats on your new addition!

Luna's dish is filled with dry food 'round the clock, and she gets moist food 2 or 3 times a day.

    Good luck!

Congratulations on you new addition. What color is the new kitty.
Your feeding plan sounds fine to me. That is what I do with my kitties. :)

Congrats on the new addition! My kitten gets only dry food. But, then again, he turns his nose up at the moist!

    mine get both, like yours.

Interesting note about dry only supposedly being good for their teeth (which I don't buy). one of my fosters prefers dry food and rarely eats any wet - her teeth are HORRIBLE. She had lost one previously and since being here she has had a dental and an extraction. Her sister (same age) eats canned and will nibble on dry - her teeth are fine.

Some cats have a preference but I like to offer moist a couple of times a day.

Congrats! I can't wait to see pics!

I keep dry food out all day for the cats. I give them canned food as a treat here and there - but they're not on a schedule for that.

    Good luck!!

Congrats on your new addition. I remember you had to give up 2 cats Bug and Tristan because your new place does not allow cats and your mom and sis is very allergic to cats. How has the situation changed?

BTW was it your school friend that lost Tristan and was Tristan ever found again? I sure hope your new cat is a keeper! I'm sure it will enjoy a combo of moist and dry foods.

Hi Vene! How r u? To answer your question, my living situation is differnt now. I have a house and soon to have a roomate who loves dogs and cats. Tristan is still lost but i still look for her, its been almost a year now i think. It was my school friend who lost her and after i told him off, I have never spoke to him agian.

I hope all is well with you and your babies! I will be posting agian on this board, now that I got my new cat. Poor thing still needs a name, I've been calling her "Hey you!" haha.

It's nice to have your own place to care for your cat and dogs and it helps tremendously when a roomate who shares the same sentiments. It's too bad Tristan is lost. My babies are great, thanks for asking. They have the run of our place. I hope "hey you" gets her name soon or she may soon respond to only hey you. LOL's.
