It's a lovely day here, 45 degrees and very sunny, so i decided to take Annie out to the Katy trail to walk with my boyfriend to get her used to it since we're gonna start biking with her out there now that she's pretty good at biking with both of us with a few distractions. The part of the Katy trail that is in town is very very busy, bikes kids, dogs, joggers..it's packed, especially on weekends. So Annie was a very good girl she met a little dpg, some poo mix, shih poo maybe, and she was very polite. The man with the dog asked me what kind of dog she was and I proudly said "pit bull", and he got the classic bewildered look on his face as he's looking down at the two dogs wagging their tails at one another and he said "well, she certainly a friendly pit bull!" I just smiled and said "yes, they love everyone"...so not two minutes later we passed a guy walking towards us with two dogs, looked like border collie mixes straining at the end of the leash, so I scooted Annie over to the other side of the trail as we passed, and as I figured, the one nearest started growling and snarling at Annie, but the guy had a good hold one it, so it wasn't a problem. And of course, my big viscious pit bull, stared blankly at the dog with her toungue hanging out and wagged her tail..just can't get that dog in a bad mood..lol..But she did have one moment of bad behavior, which I really don't know how i'll get her used to it, because I hope I don't ever encounter it again...hehe. We we're walking back down the trail and Annie puffed up and let out a big bark. So i told her to be quiet and looked down the trail, and I saw people walking towards us of course, but big deal, they had been the whole time. We were also about to cross a bridge, they make her a little nervous, she always has to walk at the very edge of them because she likes seeing over the edge as she crosses, but she doesn't ever bark at them..so i just kept walking...we passed the first person, she ignored them stared down the trail and barked again....then I heard it and saw it. A guy was shuffling down the trail and a very odd gait playing a violin! I was as confused as the dog. But he shuffled past us and Annie scooted to my side and barked at him...not a mean bark but a....hey...i'm not so sure about this situation bark...luckily the guy was nice and as he was playing and going by said "hey pup! it's alright! i love ya!" and Annie seemed to see it was a human then and wanted to go up to him, but still didn't like that violin..but she stopped barking and we went on home then..I got more than I bargined for in exposing her to different things though today, but still very good for her. maybe i can get adam to walk down the road playing his guitar, that may get Annie used to it, but i don't know that he'll agree to that...lol

It sounds like she handled herself very well. I have seen people dress up in really wild clothing (kind of like a 'bag lady') and walk really funny when they are temperment testing dogs for possible adoption. You could try getting someone to do that. Try to make it someone she isn't really familiar with, but also make sure to keep everyone safe in case she does not react well - ya know?
