Mocha was turned over to Siamese Rescue by a GS (good samaritian) but she insisted he needed to be an only cat.
Mocha had apparently gone through a few homes and last fall his owner's DH said "get him out of here or I toss him outside" so the GS took him in.
She didn't do a slow introduction, just tossed him in with her older girls, and her girls hated Mocha. She thought Mocha was creating the problem so she said he needed to be an only.
I was full prepared to keep Mocha isolated in his room but after a week I was curious as to how he actually behaved with other kitties.
Started with Tilly and that was great. Then added Dixie - again nothing. Then I added Missy and he was fine.
Onto Zeus - a few spats but now Mocha hangs out in the "mancave" and Zeus didn't even charge him a toll.
This weekend Mocha is moving to NYC's Park Ave!!!!! Pretty good step for a guy who was nearly tossed outside.
He's a head sleeper and I think that got him into trouble. I don't mean just curling against one's head - he sprawls out over a person's head to sleep. Quite disconcerting when you wake up from a dead sleep unable to breathe, but we've been working on changing that and his adopter likes it.
Nice boy with a great future ahead of him. Right now he's the last SR cat in New England. Things are slowing down.
Never thought I'd get a picture like this one

Park Avenue?! Lucky boy. Can I go too?

It looks like Zeus might actually miss him!

That is a cute story with a happy ending. I'm so glad Mocha found a new happy home.
