Any link between puppy teething and loose stool?

I noticed this morning that buster was loose again. Formed, but soft. My brother in law cared for him all day and mentioned the same thing when I came home. Around 8pm we noticed blood on Busters rear leg. Couldnt find a source on the leg but noticed his gums were bleeding a bit. Just about 15 minutes ago (midnight central time) Buster lost his first puppy tooth! I know when my girls were teething all 4 had nasty diapers. Have you guys seen the same with pups? Ok, obviously not the diapers

most definately. Any stressors can make stools loose.

    Makes sense to me.

It had to have been related, he's back to normal today. This puppy is going to give me more gray hairs than the kids LOL

Oh i know what you mean!!! My dogs are driving me nuts!

Porsche came back in heat. I noticed this morning her cooter was swelling. UGH!!! She had her heat after the pups left at the end of april begining of march... and now i'm wondering if that wasn't a false heat because faith came in then and precious had her pups march 7th.

i've had that happen before. Soooo gonna monitor her and do premate kit and keep an eye on progesterone levels. If its a true heat I may go ahead and pair her with oneo f my males i produced out of my very first litter.

Sounds like another good reason to leave breeding to those that know what they're doing....in other words, not me :p

I had to stop my husband from bringing home another puppy yesterday. As we pulled into walmart a lady and small girl crossed in front of our truck, heading for a pen they had put up in the shade, holding these itty bitty black and white puppies. I didnt get close enough to guess a breed/mix or ask. Buster is 4 months today, Im no where near ready to add to our family....with Buster it felt right, I didnt get that feeling yesterday.

So I started in on all the reasons we DONT want a puppy...
$$ for vet, food & other basic needs.
Time spent training, I highly doubt we'll ever find another puppy as good as Buster.
More $$ in replacing items destroyed, I dont think he realizes how good we have it with Buster.
High likely hood of puppy getting hurt in innocent play with Buster, Buster is pushing 50lbs, pups looked to be maybe 5-10lbs (they were so tiny!).
Im enjoying Buster too much, I dont want to have to split my time.
Deal Breaker- I dont want another puppy, my limit is ONE...my one just happens to be the size of 2+ "normal" size dogs.

Besides, I already have Mr. Perfect! What more could I really ask for?

Correction that should have read march/april.. giggles... sorry dumb prego moment.

Yeah its definatley not easy!!! Takes alot of careful testing, planning, time and money.

Bringing in another pup would definately be alot more work. I always encourage people to wait until they know their dog is mature and has training down really well.

Bringing in another puppy with a puppy already there could cause Buster to revert in his training...

Just wait, "mommy brain" is worse LOL I have to take detailed notes for everything otherwise I wont remember it in 10 minutes and my youngest is almost 4

Only thing I have on that list is TIME...of course I'd have to actually have an interest in breeding too, but thats another subject.

I dont want to split the time I have with Buster, I'd much rather devote every last second to helping him become the best dog he can possibly be. He's already an amazing puppy. Vet Tech. told me today its due to "good handling"...everyone at the vet adores him. Im not so sure, how much comes from a dogs natural personality vs. how he/she is handled/raised?

I admit we're pretty strict with him (I dont want him getting away with much with how big he'll be), though very gentle...if I have to correct him I use the least "force" possible in an attempt to keep him sensitive to corrections (same goes with his leash, little to no pressure on his collar and he walks like a perfect gentleman). Training started the moment we pulled into the driveway, he didnt set foot (paw?) in the house until he'd gone for a potty walk (on leash). Even the vet has commented on how responsive he is when we speak....he got mouthy with her, I told him "easy", he removed his mouth from her arm, her jaw hit the floor in shock.
