Anyone know anything about Lipiderm?

Indy, my allergy-itch-hotspot prone St. Bernard, has been itching a lot lately. He's doing better than last week but still really itchy. He is currently on Calif Natural lamb & rice, grizzly salmon oil, and nzymes. It is time for me to buy more salmon oil and I was thinking about switching to lipiderm. I have talked to a few people who swear by the stuff and I have found where I can get it *relatively cheaply online. Anyways.....they have the lipiderm liquid and they have lipiderm capsules. They specifically have large breed dog capsules. Are the capsules better than the liquid? or vice versa? I'd prefer the liquid b/c I think Indy would prefer it (makes his food taste better - at least he likes the salmon oil on his food). But I like how the capsules are specially for large breed dogs - they say they have like twice the amount of the omega 3s and 6s than the regular capsules? Just wondering.

I recall giving Lipiderm to my old lab who also had food allergy problems. I tried everything back then so I don't remember if that suppliment improved his condition or not but I do remember that the "aroma" of that oil was pretty strong for me but Jake loved it. His breath would not be too pleasant after eating.
I later realized that I was actually causing a lot of Jake's problem by over bathing him. In his later years an ocassional Prednesone tablet would relieve any flair ups he would have.

poor indy, I know the feeling, Jake just got another hot spot this week on his face :( :(

I dont know anything about lipiderm, but how about adding a B supplement, I have added it to Jakes diet, and it has helped, he scratches less.

    this is from drsfsotersmith website

Biotin is a B vitamin that reportedly increases the efficacy of fatty acids. On its own, biotin is necessary for growth, muscle formation, and the repair of skin and haircoat. Commonly used in combination with fatty acids to enhance their role in inflammatory conditions. Best for use with oral products containing fatty acids (*starred items) to control allergy symptoms.
