i am just wondering if anyone uses an air purifier. i am looking for one, because cat hair is everywhere. and i am worried about my little kids breathing it. There are so many kinds and most of them are expensive.
so do you know of one that works well..and not too expensive?

I discussed these with my nurse practitioner my last appointment. Yeah they work well but the problem being if using to prevent allergic issues you can't stay in your house forever.
A person would get used to have quality air at home but once leaving have to adjust to everything else out there and that would probably induce allergy problems even more.

id have to agree with that. unless you have really bad air in your house there isnt much point. i have one but never use it. when i did use it it didnt really make a difference anyway. just made a whole lot of noise

    thank you all for replying..
my kids arent allergic to Max at all. it is just that there is so much cat hair floating in the air. and i want my kids to breath clean, filtered air.

What type of vacuumer do you use? A good vacuumer will make a world of difference. I purchased a Dyson (good prices on eBay) a couple of years ago and it still works great. It doesn't work as well as day one but I love it! It's so good at picking up cat fur and my long hairs that I get lazy vacuuming around the house. I went from cleaning every other day with my old vacuumer to every 3 weeks or more. I thought about the air purifier at one time but balked when I saw the sticker price attached to them. Good luck hunting for an air purifier. If you get one that's attached to the furnace/air conditioner, please let me know how well it works. I was thinking about purchasing one at one point.
