I was just wondering how a tank full of neon tetras may look? If it looks like too much, or not enough.... And how to make the neons really stand out.

Can anyone post a picture if they have tanks with Neons in them please?

I have a bunch of neons, Tyler. I inherited them with the new tank I bought from an old guy who was moving down South. The tank is populated with many other fish, however, so I cabn't say what it would look like with just neons.

I can say they really compliment the larger fish, and they tend to school, which is always fun behavior to watch. Most people are either drawn to them for their "alien eyes" or the 1' pleco in the tank.

A good tankmate to neons might serpae tetras, which are close cousins but look totally different.

i think the best looking tanks for neons has dark substrate and plenty of plants in the backgorund and good lighting.\

those are two pictures from another forum that a few people posted of their planted tanks.

IMO Cardinals are alot nicer. I have a small school with my dicus. They are brigther but harder to keep there water conditions right. I could psot a pic if you want. -tl

We plan on adding more plants, but we're going to stick with fake ones. We've tried real ones but we don't have good luck. Then I could probably add a darker background then my current one.
I like the plain blue neon's, and the white and reddish ones. I dont remember what they're called. Albino Neon Tetra's maybe?
