Last night I brought a newish container of Pounce to the family room with me. As I was going to bed I thought, "I should put that away." But, being lazy, I didn't. This morning I found the empty container on the floor next to a very content kitten. I really didn't think he'd manage to open it... Yet again, I underestimate the determination of a kitten!

The package was at least half full too. Someone's going to have a tummy ache today! I don't think he even bothered to share with Moe.

bad bad halaroo....leaving such a tasty temptation within reach of a defenseless little kitty

I don't think my house will ever be kitten-proofed! I never had a problem leaving out treats before I adopted Artemis, but I'm learning something new everyday with this one!

He has been fine all day. He seems to be able to eat a lot of food without feeling bad. There will be no treats for him the next few days though!

I love the way you put that - "next to a very content kitten"

    :qm4:

Nope, he popped the lid right off! There were only a few teeth marks in the lid and the side of the container.

You have a resourceful one! I bet he was one happy kitten last night!
Make sure you give Moe a treat (if there's one left in the house) because I'm sure that your little one was the only one who feasted on the treats!

That's amazing! Cats are one of the smartest creatures on earth! Did Artemis gain some weight or get a belly ache?

this made me chuckle cause the other day I came home from work early and fed my Sadie dawg then my son and I left to go get pizza.
In the meantime my hubby came home from work - now under most circumstances the care of the pets is my job...he's here for a lap.
I got home and started to worry cause Sadie was looking pretty bloated (a problem w/her liver disease)
I mentioned it and my hubby said "oh it's probably cause I just fed her"
    she got sick though

Artemis' belly felt a little bloated to me, but he begged for treats and food all day as usual. Poor Moe wanted some treats all evening though and I didn't have any "good" ones left for her!

LOL Mary - Poor Sadie! She was probably pretty excited/confused that she was getting fed again.

Lol! I can picture the look on Artemis face when you discovered it, "who? me??"
But am I the only one with a kitty that doesn't care much for treats? Kyrre never begs for food, and when I give him treats he only eats half of it... If we are eating dinner in the living room he'll jump up on the couch and smell on our plates, but he doesn't touch it. I don't even have to give him a warning :? What a weirdo

Sabrina doesn't like treats either. I offer stuff to her and she will just sniff it and walk away. She did like one kind of treat but not anymore. Which is weird because she came from the streets and who know what she ate out there.
