Ball python owner for five years now, questions about him...

I have been a proud owner of a ball python for five years now, we love him, he is a great pet! Last year (for the first time) he decided to hibernate. Again this year he is doing it, but he is acting differently than last year, how do I know exactly when to feed him again?
We'd like to make him as comfy as possible in his habitat (which is a 65 gallon tank with rocks and a climbing stick, a bowl of water and a dark hiding spot) any other reccomendations? Just looking for some good info for our much loved and favorite pet :) :y_the_best:
