Its been 4wks today since I've had Ritchie and upon looking at some of the first photos of him I'm amazed at how much better he looks today.
Here are some of the first photos of him:

You can see the wound in his neck in these. This was after the vet visit while it was starting to heal up. It was actually about double the size of that at first and much deeper.

    I took these today:

He's doing really well. I've introduced him to all of the cats and things seem to be going well with most of them. Rhiannon met him for the first time today and hissed and growled at him really nasty. I expected her to act this way since she acted this way when I introduced her to Chieve and Bella for the first time. Bean, Hoggle and Chieve seem to be getting along with him really well. They've all played together yesterday and today. I let my dogs meet him yesterday and today again by just opening the hall door and making Natalie sit and lie down in the doorway while Ritchie checked her out. He did'nt really seem afraid of her just curious of her but he did hiss when she tried to sniff him. Sebastian's prey drive kicked in as soon as he saw Ritchie so I had to hold him while they all checked each other out. So far so good though. He seems pretty comfortable coming into the living room...even went right up to the couch and scratched it as if it was a scratching post [-X . He also kept hiding behind my lace curtains as if he thought noboday could see him (just like my other cats do). It was so cute cause you could see his little face behind the curtain with the bottom half of his body exposed. He would periodically jump out at the other cats.

You can really see the difference in the before and after pictures. Ritchie does look a lot better now. Pretty kitty.

Sounds like it's slow going but it sounds like all your little ones are getting adjusted to Ritchie. Hope all will be peaceful soon. I'm sure they will all be best friends in no time. :p

Thanks for the update, Nern. The pics are great. :y_the_best: I liked the one of him and Chieve playing. I'm glad he's doing well. Are you going to keep him?

Yep, its definately been a slow process but I think it will be worth it in the end. I can't believe its already been 4wks.

Definately. I was pretty sure he would be here to stay from the begining in knowing that it would take some time before he was tamed and healthy. I know its not really the smartest thing to do right now since I rent but I guess I will just have to try even harder to buy a house now.

Great news Nern. There's no doubt in my mind that he would do well under your care. He looks terrific now! Such a cutie. So glad the resident cats are starting to play with him. It pays off to have slow introductions.

Thanks. Eternal Flame was kind enough to add him to my banner for me.

He is settling in well. I still can't touch him much but him and Chieve seem to be the best of friends now. They chased each other around the living room playing tag for almost 2hrs the other night and then while I was laying on the couch Ritchie climbed up on my leg and later I caught him peeking at me over the side of the couch. I'm going to be moving him into my bedroom within the next few days. I'm betting he's going to climb on my while I'm sleeping and scare the heck out of me the first few nights. LOL. :D
No new pictures yet but I will post some more shortly.
