Thanks for asking about Lita. We were both quite surprised to find out what was going on with her. The vet knew almost right away and she spent a week at the office with an IV. We went to see her every night and I think that helped her quite a bit She's been home with us for about a week also. She's doing extremely well..I was really surprised at how she has responded to everything. ( We lost a kitty to kidney failure before and there wasn't anything we could do for her..that was extremely hard for us.)

My kitchen looks like a Doctor's office with all her stuff in there..lol. She is on three diferent medications and also gets sub-Q fluids once a day. She is eating a mixture of Hills K/D and Eukanuba ph-O as she is prone to bladder crystals and has had to have surgery twice to have them removed. (not something we would consider at this time because of her age and everything else going on with her.)

She was actually playing with a milk ring yesterday and then again today. Acting quite like herself and then some, so we're pretty pleased with her progress. We go back to the vet this week for blood tests and that should give us a little indication of how well she's really responding to all of this.

Here are two pictures of her... one is from Sept 2004 and the other is from just a few minutes ago. I think she looks pretty good for all she's been through. (Note the partial hairless leg from where her IV was.)

I'm glad to hear she seems to be doing fine, let us know how the vet visit goes. :y_the_best:
