Best preventative to keep dogs from chewing on wires?

My new puppy, doesn't have a name yet lol, is 9 wks. She really likes chewing on wires. Indy did too but this seems to be her main focus. I sprayed everything with the bitter apple spray that seemed to work with Indy but it doesn't seem to deter her. Is there something better? Please help....my cable is all fuzzy and they can't come fix it for two weeks!!!!

Also, out of curiosity, if she did chew through an electric cord in the house, could she die from that? She is about 30 lbs if that makes a difference. Not that I would still let her do it, I'm just wondering.

Elizaa she can get shocked from eelctrical cords so be very careful, as for chewing, I know know about that hopefully someone else can help

The best way to deter her is to make sure that she's not unsupervised around wires. When you're not there, crate her, when you are there, if she tries to chew wires, move her away from them and give her a chewie.

She's not unsupervised in the house but I keep her outside when I'm not home. She can't get to the outside electrical wires, just the cable tv wire. I thought I had it protected but she dug it up. I put bricks in front of it now so I don't think she will be able to get to it. But in the house, I move her away from them but she goes right back. I thought the spray would sort of help but heck, I think she likes the stuff.

My dogs are St. Bernards so I am not really interested in crating - house isn't big enough for two crates that would comfortably fit Sts. But my outside is fairly puppyproofed.

Have you tried mustard powder? Sprinkle some around the area of the wires, there are other hot spicy powders you can get also like hot chile powder.

I didn't know you got another one! Now you have to show some pics, I saw a St. bernard puppy yesterday, it was still biggeer than Luther!
My cat chews on wires occaisonally, but they are wire inside the house and I just move them to spots she can't reach.

If she's digging up the wires you buried, put some poo in hold under the dirt when you replace it!
