Beware of Toxic Plants...Like Mistletoe

The white Mistletoe berries are toxic as well as Pointsetta's. Both common this time of year. I checked this web site list and realized I have several plants in my yard that are toxic, Oleander for one. So far the boys are not into eating plants but it's good to be aware of the dangers.

Pointsettias are not exactly toxic. If an individual is allergic to latex they can have a reaction to the sap. The sap can also cause an upset stomach if a large amount of the plant are consumed. That's not the same as being toxic. No damage is done to any internal organ, and your dog isn't in danger of serious complications from consuming pointsettia....unless he's allergic to latex.
