my kitten romeo just got into my trash and was chewing on a clorox bleach wipe..the wipe was almost dry..but he was foaming at the mouth..i took him over to the sink and washed his face and paws..and he seems to be okay...but i cant get him to drink anything..i just used a baby dropper to give him some water...im gonna keep a close eye on him the next few hours and see what happens..i dont think he got much in his mouth..but i have notified his vet and she told me to just watch him...i am gonna try some milk to get him to drink something..im soo worried.

i would call poison control for animals. i may have the telephone number. i had to call them once when max got into a plant.

    YEA!!! I FOUND IT!!!

    the 800 number is 1-888-426-4435

there is a $50 dollar charge for the call and the advice. its expensive, if nothing is wrong. but it was worth the peace of mind to me.

I think if you read the packaging for the Clorox wipes it states product does not contain bleach...I may be wrong but I thought I say that on the packaging last time I bought some.

BUT....in spite of that...I cannot for a second imagine a vet not wanting to observe a kitten who may have been poisoned. I would probably have insisted...better safe than sorry.

Hope the kitten is doing okay and please let us know

well after going thru the night..he seems to have no ill effects..is eating and drinking normally ...no vomitting or diarrea...so i think all is well...but i am definitly gonna be more careful with the trash now...bought a closed top garbage can this afternoon....
Thanks for all the concern guys..i really appreciate it..
