okay.. we all know Raz is blind. *mysterious voice* but IS he? *unsolved mysteries music begins to play in the background*

This morning... while hub and i sat eating breakfast Raz came in and was 'looking' around.

he went to one end of the coffee table and stood up. the little darlin is tall enough to just barely 'see' onto the table now.

Anyway- he 'looked' around the table. there was a hair scrunchie sitting there within arms reach of him, and some other random things further back.

i was watching him, getting ready to correct him should he do something bad.. then to my surprise he reached out and grabbed the scrunchie right on target.

the light of the window was behind him. my question.. how did he see this scrunchie... or was it pure luck and coincidence he seen it and knew right where to grab for over an entire table....

    strange huh?....

    *fades out*

maybe he smelled wher the srunchie was and "saw" where it was in his head. or maybe hes near sited and can only see things that arn't his so that he can play with them?

the possible thing here i think is that he smelled it... tho i smelled it and it didnt smell like anything in particular.

luna, theres no way he's near sighted... his eyes arent even fully developed to have any site other then light perception in one eye.

i'm testing him tho once and awhile... waving my hand infront of his face and stuff. 8 out of 10 times he grabs it... maybe again he just smells me... heh i'm just being hopeful silly i guess.

I'm with Nern and Luna..he smelled it. Oft times with blind people, their ears and noses make up for the sense loss. Also, cats are very scent sensitive normally. I would imagine that a blind cat would have a heightened sense of smell.
