Well Boo's doing a bit better. He's still in alot of pain and can't stand very long on his own. So we made him a stand that we attack a roope to to make a sling for him. We go around his waist and then it takes a bit of the pressure off his leggs.

Here's more pics of his wounds, now that they are cleaned up a bit. We jet them out 3 times a day for 10 minutes on each wound to make sure no debre's flies or anything has gotten in there. And then he gets to wear a pair of daddy's long johns!!! LOL..he's cute in the pants. But I wish he was only wearing them to be cute. ...

    Any way...

    Poor baby.

The look on his face in the third picture is priceless..."First you put me in this contraption, then you stick me in a pair of long johns and now you want to take pictures!!!"

I hope he's better soon. He is a cutie!

Oh man poor baby.. Hoping for a speedy recovery.

On a side question, do you still have one dog and how is Boo doing around him?

ohh boo looks so cute, I am glad to see the pictures looking better than yesterdays. maybe losing your job, was sort of a blessing in disguise, bc now you can stay at home and nurse him. and when is the pup from sara coming? (or you going to get it, whichever)
sams, I have a side question, bc I have thought about that same type contraption, but for horses, do they have them? whenever I see movies and theey say don't let the horse lay down, i always thinkwhat about that type thing you have boo in. would that help in horses? or are their necks still too heavy to hold up (if so maybe there could be another piece that holds its head?

awww poor Boo, I seen the other pictures yesterday and he does look better but I hope he recovers fast. He looked bigger in the other pictures but he's just a little baby. I am getting a german rottweiler in about a month and there is no way I will let my dog run the neighborhood like that. I am going to start training her as soon as I get her. Sorry about your dogs too... :( How exactly did Red Dog die? I didn't really understand that, did the dogs attack him? And what was wrong with Smokey? I know you had problems with him before all this happened to Boo because of what someone had said in the message with the other pictures. Did he get sick or just go crazy on you? I'm sorry for your losses and hope you and Boo recover physically and emotionally. Well good luck!!

    Thanks Guys!!

    Boo's doing better.
No its only just Me and Boo and the horses and cats. No dogs....
Not until I bring home my new pup and dog from Sara's in WY.

Yes they make them for horses. Boo's contraption didn't hold his head up. We tied his halter to it to keep him from walking off. The rope around his waist was there so if he fell, it would catch him and to help take all the weight off his back legs.

He's walking and stuff much better but the wounds look 100times worse now. The damaged tissues and stuff have all rotted away, and the skin has all come off his legs. I pulled out a little over a pound and a half of dead and rotting tissue and junk....trust me. I can't even stand the look of hamburger meat. I'm going to take photos tongiht and post tomorow. hes got a lot of new fresh tissue growing in, which is GREAT!!!
He wears an e-collar, like the dogs do around their necks to keep him from eating and licking at the wound. He seems to have taken a liking to vasaline and nitros fura-zone....YUCK!!!

Other than that he's doin pretty darn good for his situation.

Yes, Smokey had an accident and was kicked in the head by one of my horses. It crushed a piece of his skull and caused some brain damage. We tried several vets, behaviorists, ect.... but in the end he became tooo agressive to stand anymore. He growled at himself, snapped for no reason and about broke Granvel's hand and then arm. The last straw is when he turned on me and wouldn't back down. I had to jump on a table to get away from him and keep him from litterally killing me for no reason. So it was the only thing we could do. Other than keeping him in an electrified kennel 24-7.....

Any how. I'll post more pics hopefully tomorow.
