Hubby has been getting such a kick out of the way Booger drinks from the faucet. Today, while we were out and about doing grocery shopping and such, the self-proclaimed-cat-hater insisted that we swing by PetSmart and get her a drinking fountain! $40 aaarrrgh! I didn't think it'd be THAT expensive. And I had pretty much dismissed the thought of getting her one, but he insisted.

As we were looking for the fountains (which we eventually found in the dog bowl isle), he eyes a kitty condo/tree thing that stood about 6 feet high (just under 2 meters for my foriegn friends). It has two level crawl holes in the bottom, three tiers to climb up and a roost at the top. It was priced at $119 (which is an excellent price for a cat condo/tree of this size) and Mr self-proclaimed-cat-hater grabs it and drags it up to the register LOL

Booger is loving the new condo/tree so that's a keeper. But I'm not sure about the fountain though. She drank from it a couple of times and played with the running water with her paw a bit, but it's not exactly a big hit.

I think though that she was really distracted from it tonight because we did a lot of furnature moving, including her old condo and new one so she may have just been out of sorts for the evening.

I guess I'll give the fountain a week or so and see how it goes. Hubby says that if she doesn't like it that I should give it to someone here at Auspets! I talk about you folks all the time heheh. Even though he doesn't post (he don't do forums), he's here in spirit and knows all you folks and kitties as well as I do.

I'm hoping she'll like it but if not, someone here is going to get a gift hehehe.

2 meters?? Wow! Pictures please :)

Your hubby sounds alot like my boyfriend. When we went shopping for a cat condo, I literally had to drag him away from the big ones cause we could only afford the small one... On Kyrres second day with us, he came home with FIVE different cat treats, and this is a guy that wasn't too happy about us getting a kitten. But whenever Kyrre is doing something wrong (like the butt scooting boogie) then its MY cat, and not his :|

And regarding the water fountain, you got my adress hun!
Lol! Just kidding, I hope Booger likes it :m7:

I can't understand how expensive the tall ones (condos) are. I mean, they're mostly just wood, carpet and occasionally rope. Even a huge one would cost about $20-30 bucks to build and cost about $200-300 to buy (USD). I'd really like to start making them (I love working with wood and craft stuff) and donate to shelters and low income folks with pets. I have the tools, just not the area to do that right now.

Hubby cracks me up...He has always told me that he HATES cats. His mom visites us often and she's a kitty lover...she's amazed and amused at how he's bonded with Booger. I think he talks a loud game, but his heart is bigger than his mouth hehehhe.

LOL I do that with hubby...when she's being bad, I day she's his kitty and when she's a sweety, she's mine hehehhe

What a lucky Booger. She is a princess! She's got terrific parents who shower her with lots of love and attention! I wish I had the tools and the space and knowhow to make wood projects. Cassie, you are gifted! Imagine what other fun things you can make for Booger and for your favorite cat charity. The possibilities are endless- scratching posts, dog and cat houses, cat food bowl holders, bookends, toys, crafts. These make great fundraisers! :y_the_best:

We've thought to get a kitty condo for our kitties but they are so expensive so we haven't gotten one yet.

Yours sound really great Casssie. You'll have to show us a picture of it. :)
