Some of you know that I've been trying to leash train Booger. I started with a harness but she's more comfie with a collar leash so I went that route. She'll tolorate it and become comforable with it on the porch. I'll let her out on the leach for a couple hours a day and she loves it, but she won't let me lead her with it. If I try and lead her with it, she hunkers down and refuses to be lead.

Any advice? should I go back to the harness?

And now, we're having a problem with her darting out the door everytime we open it. But I dn't think she'll go off the porch just yet. She's really scared...but it's just a matter of time

LOL. Welcome to my world. Cats lead us, we can't lead them. I've just accepted that I don't take Romeo and Juliet on a walk, they take me on a walk! With two cats it's twice the fun, as they both want to go in different directions. Cats are so funny.

Lol's! Cats are certainly in control of our lives and not the other way around. It's no surprise Booger wants to lead. Love to see pics of Booger in her collar leash romping around.

I can't lead my cats at all. I just have them on the harness in the yard and let them lead me if they want to trek any further than that.

    I missed you Cassie!

It's nice to hear from you again :D I don't have any advice on leash training, but I'm not suprised she won't be bossed around. Cats...

Well, she seems content to just sit on the porch and sniff the air while watching the birds and bees buzz by. I guess I'll settle for that.

Copper darts at the door now too. I was trying to let him out some, but he got too brave and went too far and I freaked out and stuffed him back inside. Plus the last two times he went out, he ate grass and then came back inside and threw up. So now I block him inside and he yowls at the storm door. It makes me sad, so I think I'll try him back on the harness.

Yeah coppersmom, I'm afraid to let Booger get down to the grass so I keep her on a very short leash. She can get almost to the steps but no further. She doesn't fight the limitation so I'll just keep her at this length.

Hehe...Copper will go to the bottom of the steps and eat the grass he can reach while keeping his butt on the bottom step--most of the time.
