It's official...hubby and I got our home loan approval yesterday and have found our dream house!

I wonder how Booger will like all the new space to explore and play in. There is a HUGE bay window in the dining area that goes from almost floor to cieling and I predict that Booger will 'own' that spot

We're making a bid on the house on Monday. Wish us luck!

Here is Boogers window in the dining area :p

I love the retro look of the black/white checkerboard floor, but It's awful to keep looking clean. The dark shows every little bit of light dirt and the light shows every little bit of dark dirt. It's impossible to keep looking clean daily. I had that same floor in another house I lived in and it was a nightmare. That floor will be the first of renovations we make hehhe. It's funny that you point that out too...my sister saw the pics of it and said "I can't wait to visit and get drunk in your kitchen, that floor will induce great spins LOL"

I'm not sure if we're going to get this house though as they're asking way too much for it considering it's age, location and the fireplace in the basement doesn't have a flue (won't pass inspection). I'm suspecting that the owners are going to use that as a bargining chip when we haggle them down starting monday.

We're hopeful though and are working with several mortgage agency's.

I hate to admit it but I'm really stuck on this house. We've been looking for a long time and so far, this is the only one that we both agree is absolutely perfect for our wants and needs +space for future growth.

No matter where we land, it's going to be interesting to see how Booger reacts to it heheh.

That kitchen looks fantastic! So bright :D
I really hope you can get it for a good price, I think Booger would love all the space! Especially that bay window

    Good luck! :y_the_best:

Cassie, that's the mother of all bay windows! When you get your house ( keeping all our fingers and paws crossed), you are going to have to adopt a few more little Cassies. I think a dozen Cassies will own that window. LOL's.

fingers crossed for you - so exciting...and I agree that floor would be history quickly. I worked in an office with that same flooring and I hated it.

Being married to a mason - why the heck would anyone build a fireplace with no flue? Is it a woodburning fireplace or maybe it's waiting for a gas insert - you might be able to to do that, but you still need to have some outlet for smoke...weird. Hard to put a flue in after the fact.

I'm sure booger is going to love the window.

WOW!! What a window! I'd have five cats and a dog parked in that thing all day!

Congrats and best of luck in getting it!

You had me a little scared for a minute, too, about Booger getting a new home. I'm glad it is going to be all of you.

Best of luck on Monday. It can be a little bit of a hassle but is also exciting trying to buy a new home.

Booger is going to love that Bay Window. I wish we had a window like that for our kitties. Our windows are up higher and when we had new windows put in the window sills got narrower and now it is harder for Socks and Mittens to sit on them, expecially Socks since she is heavier.
