Booger on the Porch

Here's shots of Booger on the porch, on her leash. She can reach to the top step but no further and she usually lays there but got excited when I came out with the camera and moved back. You can see where my mail box is down the driveway...I was hoping that I could leash train her to walk with me when I go down to check the mail but she'll only tolorate the lease so long as she's not being lead. When she's left alone on the porch with it, she doesn't fight it at all unless something scares her, like a car comming up the drive or someone comming up on the porch. So I guess I'll just leave her alone with it. She loves and begs to go out on the porch.

Right now, she's laying and basking in the setting sunlight at the top of the stairs

It must be great for her to be able to spend time outside in the sun  And she looks beautiful as always

It's really beautiful where you live! I can't wait for spring to come to Norway as well. It won't be long now, some of the trees are already a little green :D

what is the leash attached to?

I would love to be able to let Ninja on my patio, but he is one wily cat!

So what kind of leash is it, & how is it secured? Since mine are indoor they freak even with a collar, but maybe if they figured out that that means patio privileges....

Booger is gorgeous. I'm glad she's able to enjoy herself in the great outdoors! What a life!

It's one of those retractable cord type leashes. I can lock it at any length. I have the handle attached to a stationary object and the clip end in snapped onto her collar. I tried using a harness on her first but she absolutely hated it. She really loves being outside (in fact, that's where she is right now).

Good pics. :D Try carrying her to the mailbox when you get the mail (with her leash on). Then once you are at the mailbox, put her down and let her sniff the area. Then pick her up again and carry her back to the porch. If you do this daily, she may decide to come with you to the mailbox. It may take a month, but it's worth a try. You could even use treats (give her one down at the mailbox and another one when you two go back onto the porch).
