    ICK ICK ICK EWW!

Two days ago I spotted a little sixlined racer lizard in the livingroom by my front door. I have no problems at all with lizards and they eat insects so I left him alone. He was about 3 inches long and I noticed that he had lost his tail.

Well, Booger was perched on her condo and spotted him and leaped literally about 5 feet from the top of her tower towards the lizzie...Lizzie took off like a bat out of heII and ducked behind hubby's desk.

For the past 2 1/2 days, Booger has been stalking diligently the corner of the desk that lizzie ducked behind. We've been laughing about it figuring lizzie is long gone but it was cute to see Booger so diligent about her hunting duties. Hubby said "Maybe she'll be a good mouser!".

Well, ten min ago I see Booger playing with something on the floor about seven feet away from me. I don't have my glasses on so I'm thinking it's a piece of paper or something. She's bad about eating anything she can manage to fit into her mouth so I investigate....

IT'S LIZZIE!!!!! Poor thing, barely alive. I managed to get it away from Booger using a plastic grocery bag (I figured that would distract her because she loves to play with them and my diversion works. I manage to 'remove' lizzie. Now Booger is sniffing all around and looking for her lost prey.

I love cats but all I can say is EWWWW EWWW ICK EWWW ICK!

I don't think Lizzie will survive. What do you do in this situation? Do you euthanize the creature or let nature take its course? This is a general question of course.

I set lizzie in a planter out back and when I woke this morning, she was gone!

Milo used to hunt and leave his animals half dead. I've always wondered if I should've ended the poor creatures lifes or let them suffer and die in due course.

    tough decision thats for sure.
i prolly woulda put the lizard outside too, and walked away, reasonaing whatever happens it was meant to be.

be a mouse or whatever... i'd take it away and 'set it free' to its fate.

I found it very desturbing too, but I chalk it up to natural instinct. Nature can be harsh, but it is what it is.
