Ok so last night I'm relaxing and Garfield is laying on my lap. Well Boots decided that she wanted to join too!! No problem...Well instead of laying beside Gar, she lays across him and kneeds him with her paws... Thats cool she does it to my leg all the time.

Well I'm reading my book and I hear this "slurp slurp suck suck..slurp slurp" sound..
I look down and boots has a wad of Gars hair in her mouth just sucking away!!! He had a HUGE slobber spot and foamy spit all around the area, she was nursing on him!!!
It was crazy. SO i made her stop and not a minute later she was doing it again!!

My worry is that she's gonna pull all his hair out in that spot and choke on his hair....that and its quite annoying...

SHould a 15 week old kitten be doing this? They are going to get spayed and neutered in a week. SHould I bring this up with the vet?

Sounds sort of normal to me.

One kitty I used to have liked to suck on my neck when she was a kitten. She grew out of it.

Another kitty I had liked his special piece of blanket (he liked the satiny edge of a blanket) and sucked on it most of his life. Other than that, he was a normal cat (is there such a thing?). Tee hee.

If you are really concerned, it probably would be a good idea to asked your Vet. Never hurts and it can ease your mind.

just had a huge discussion on this on the siamese board I belong to...yes it is quite normal and chances are good she'll outgrow it. I would maybe find a toy to take her mind off this when she starts. Don't discipline just get her doing something else. The person on the other board had been using a spray bottle to stop this behavior, and she was advised to stop doing that. but it's quite natural and could be bond building between the 2 - but you can distract her

yes...its normal. they do it when they are extemely relaxed and feel safe. max does it to me...on my shirt sometimes when i am sitting on the couch...he will come up and just bury his head into my shirt...and knead away. i think its adorable. and he will do it on the sheets next to me...just bury his head into my side and suckle on the sheets. what a baby...

Sounds normal Sams. My foster kitty Luna used to do that too. As long as it's not on the genitalia, it'll be fine. She'll outgrow it.

Kyrre does thant too, but only on his blanket. It's a funny sight, he loves that blanket so much... Whenever I have to wash it, he get totally lost. He'll just sitt in his empety basket and look down, and then he looks at me "where is my blanket mom?"

Sound pretty normal to me too. When I brought Hoggle home he used to suck on Bean's chest as if he was nursing....he continued doing this regularly for a while. Bean did'nt seem to mind at all. LOL.
