budgie help need more info

    Well my male and female budgie have been sitting and pecking on the nest box and my female looks really big. can u tell me if it will lay its babys any time soon and tthe female is 1yr old and the male is 6 months old

    It is not advisable to breed these birds they are too young and still growing and there bones still forming.

    They need to be no younger than 18months old the male should be atleast 12months old.

    I would remove the nest box as the chances of this female suffering from egg binding is high.
    Egg binding is fatal to the female if not noticed and treated ASAP
