Sky and gg haven,t been eating their seed, they have been eating fresh veggies and alittle millet, is this okay? Also can they have white bread and are crackers safe for them, I,ve seen where wheat is good for them, I just want to make sure my babies are safe. Thank you :?

Stop feeding them millet and fruit and veggies and anything else your feeding them only put there seed in the cage are you using the same type dishes they had in the petstore or wherever you got them from as this helps them eat there seed in a new home.

Too much millet is bad for them as they get fat and can cause serious problems.

Crackers are fine aslong as they are salt and sugar free and do not contain much fat and again these should only be give every now and again and not all the time.
Wholewheat bread is better for them than white

I will try this and no they are not the same dishes as the pet store, gg was not in a cage, she was with many budgie and teils, they were eating seed fine until the veggies and fruits were introduced, so seed is best for them? I don,t want to be a bother just have many questions as I,m new to this board and to my little freinds.

I would take away the fruit and vegtables.

When placing the seed in there dishes or feeders do it nest to the birds so they can see what is happening see how they get on if they still have not touched it after 24hours you will have to go back to the fruit and vegtables with the millet spray you will also have to allow them out to fly around a bird secure room so that they do not get too fat on the millet.

Ask as many questions as you feel need answer we are here to help the best we can..
