Building an indoor aviary

Since my two new (unexpected) additions which brings my total number of budgies to 6 I have a few options:

1.Keep my 6 budgies in 3 seperate cages
    2.Buy a new cage
3 Build my own indoor aviary

I'm think about going with option 3 so all of my birds can be together.

Here are the measurement I have so far:

    Height - 70"
(20" for storage underneath, 5" for the roof and 45" for the actual cage itself)

    Length - 64"

    Width - 25"
(23" for the actual cage and 2" for the backing)

I'm thinking about using wood (for the frame, base, back and roof), plexiglass (for the front and sides) and having wire mesh inserts for ventilation (on the top of the roof and on both sides).

    What do you guys think?

Here is a picture of an indoor aviary that might give you an idea.

If you go here: http://www.finchinfo.com/index2.htm and click on Housing on the left side and then "Build your own aviary" in the links at the top of the page, you can get some more info.
