Can you please help me?

My tabby kitten is showing some strange symptoms. She is showing swelling under her tail around her anus. It has been that way for almost a week now, and we can't figue out what the deal is. We think she may cancer, but we don't know anything for sure. She is an out door cat and is almost one year old. Can you help me figure out what is wrong with her? All help will be greatly appreciated.

 

I did a brief search and found this about a kitty named Pumpkin and showed signs of anal swelling...

 

Please take her to a vet ASAP. When I first got my dog Jayson ( he was a rescue) who had been abandoned he was extremely emaciated and had the same sort of swelling. When I took him to the vet the same day i found him the vet told me if i hadn't have brought him in he would have died within 48 hrs. He said alot of people would have just took him home and fed him. Which in his case would not have worked because it turned out the anal swelling in his case was due to the fact that he was absolutely infested with round and hook worms. Also because he was getting no food the worms were starting to eat his insides!! I am NOT saying that's what's wrong with your kitty I 'm just saying you never know how serious or not something is until you take them to the vet, anyway Good Luck!!

 

:m23: and welcome. A vet visit would be ideal. Your kitty may need to have her anal sacs expressed. We're just guessing here. Only your vet can do the proper diagnosis and treatment. Good luck and keep us posted. What's her name and do you have pics to share? :m10:
