Are there certain ingredients in dry cat foods that cats can be allergic to, or ingredients that are unneccessary or unhealthy? What are your favorite dry cat foods?

corn...if the ingredient list on dry food starts with corn it's crap. Many many cats are allergic to corn.
Having said that I feed Purina One dry hairball/weight management. I feed the "better" foods and my Dixie Chick loses fur off her ears and around her eyes, she doesn't with Purina One.
And they are all healthy so I stick w/it.
But if the first 5 ingredients on dry food are grains of any sort it's usually a lower grade of dry food. Way I look at it is you are feeding both wet and dry and the cats are healthy and have good coats personally I don't sweat it but I do stay away from stuff like Meow Mix
