I have taken over the care of a cat that was in a house and allowed to go outside whenever she wanted. Now she's in an apartment, and I don't want her going outside. She cries to be let out, and I need to know what I can do to stop this and change her behavior.

you could get some grass from the pet store thats good for cats to make her feel more at home in the appartment

I didn't even know that something like that exists. How cool! Do you know how expensive it is?

:m23: and welcome! You can try harness training and take her out for walks. Pet grass is available in stores like Petsmart. A container of fully grown grass costs around $4. You can also buy seeds. They generally take 3 days to germinate. Do not have it available all the time or she will overeat and either puke it up or do the butt scoop.

Thanks for the advice! I have to get her checked out, because she might be pregnant. If she's not, then I will get her fixed, and then she could probably be okay going outside. I used to have cats, but I lived in a house and had a big back yard. This is all new to me!
