Cat peeing every where

I am at my wits end..i luv my Romeo i do..but he is testing my patience..i have 4 litterboxes in my little one bedroom apt for my 4 cats..but if they are a spec dirty..romeo will pee elsewhere...he has ruined this carpet, my sofa's, any clothing on the ground...my comforters..ect...aside from taking him to the vet..is there anything i can do to stop this...the smell is killing me...bc im constantly just finding things he pee'd on days before...he has no issues using the boxes if i just cleaned them..but i dont know what else to do at this point!!...all i have to do is yell and he goes hiding bc he knew he did something wrong!! please if you can offer me any advice i would appreciate it

 

and just an fyi i do have a vets appointment for him..i was just wondering if there was anything else i can do to prevent this

When Buster peed outside the litterbox it was because of kidney faliure. Unfortunately we found out too late, and he had to be put to sleep. He always peed in the same place though, and wouldn't use the litterbox because of the pain he associated with it.
Sounds like Romeos problem is behavioural, but a check at the vet is a good idea. I hope someone has some good advice, and that you find a solution soon. I know the smell and all the cleaning drove me crazy, I can only imagine what it's like with carpet floors :? Good luck!

 

I'm sorry, I don't have any good advice. My one daughter has 5 cats and one of her cats does that occasionally, too. She has had him checked out and it seems to be a behavioral problem with him.

Her kitty doesn't do it all the time and when he does it's only in the same two spots. She gets frustrated, too.

Maybe your vet can give some advice even if it is behavioral.

 

i think its behavioural too...bc he does use the boxes w/ no problems..no straining or meowing...he just expects these boxes to be immaculate..and i dont ahve the time for that..luckily this is just an apartment..when i buy a house though..its gonna be another story

 

Welcome to my world :lol: . I haven't been home alot lately because my Mom is really sick. Pretty much when I am home I'm cleaning up pee and booby trapping my house to keep Copper out of the corners.
