hi i just found this board i have 3 cats chpper, sally & tally
chipper is the momma & sally & tally are the 7 month old babies
chpper is due again next week ( had her appointment for spading for jan but santa accidentally let her out & now were gettin more kittens )
but anyway this morning i noticed sally teying her best to nurse from chipper & chipper was letting her do it & didnt seem to mind. will this hurt momma cat or should i just let her alone till the babies come next week É
    *********
ive been reading posts & everyones cats are so sweet

Hi and welcome to Auspet. Sally trying to nurse on Chipper will not harm her. Besides if Chipper had a problem with it, she would let Sally know.

As for Chipper, please keep her indoors until you can get her spayed. Although, you probably had planned on doing this.

I hope everything goes well for Chipper and her babies.

Hi! welcome to the forum! :D

My grand parents had two cats (mother&daughter) and the daughter nursed on her mother through their whole lives. I don't remember their exact age when they died, but it was around 14-16 years...

we had her appointment for the middle pf jan to get spayed & by then it was a little too late .we did keep her inside during her times in heat but this time she was accidentally let out .
