Changing gravel? how do i do it?

    How would i go about changing the existing gravel to new gravel i have a pink and blue gravel and my tank looks like a pond style decor and it reallly clash so i was thikning go to a dark green

    scoop it out slowly when i chaged to sand i did it over a week then i put the sand in slowly aswell

    Argh, that reminded me that I'll be looking forward to that in my future also. Changing out gravel in my 55 and putting in sand. That should be just tons of fun.

    The jacks will get even more moody I'm sure.

    do it in thirds. or fourths. whatever. but about a week apart. this will help the old gravel colonize the bacteria in the new so that you don't get a big cycle.
