We recently started carrying a new toy in the store and everyone who bought one has raved about it. But I kept looking at it thinking, Witt or Annie would have it in pieces in a heart beat. It is $25 plus the refills are $8 so I wasn't going to chance it lasting all of 20 seconds. The owner of the shop kept swearing he wouldn't tear it up...yesterday I took Witt to work with me and two different customers came in raving again about the toy. I gave in and decided to try it. Shelled out the $25 and gave it to him.
HE LOVES THIS THING! He has not torn it up and when he does bite into the rubber part his teeth marks seem to disappear. Now my problem is that all three dogs fight over it so I need two more.
It's called the Everlasting Treat Ball. They have two sizes and are now coming out with a small.
Caution: to those who have dogs with allergies to corn or wheat check the ingredient list on the little wedges for the toy. If your dog has a high sensitivety..I wouldn't use it, instead write a letter to the company requesting they make some refills without those ingredients. All of them that we have, have wheat gluten and all but the Mint Vanilla one have corn gluten.

That looks pretty neat! I wouldn't want my dogs to eat a treat that size every day, but for once in a while I bet it would be nice.

I do doubt the "hours of enjoyment" though. Do they really last that long, Maisey? I know if the dogs get the treat out of the ball it will be gone within a minute, but maybe it takes a while for them to be able to get it out?

Witt worked on one side for a couple hours, in that time he did get the wedge out once and I put it back. The next time he got it out I let him have it, it took him about 20- 30 minutes of licking and chewing to make it disappear. Then he still had the other side and the treats I placed in the middle section...however, I know he will be much quicker in the future! He played with the ball quite a bit, pawing it, making it shoot across the floor, carrying it around prancing, shaking it etc....he gaurded it from the evil forces of Dooley and Annie too. It lasted longer than the kong, but the main difference is that he doesn't play with his kong unless it has treats in it. This toy he played with even after the treats were gone.

I'll have to give it a try! Too bad I can't leave the dogs with them when I go out, though. Nala would try to hoard both of them and they could end up fighting.
