How are the plans going for the cat enclosure? Were you able to find any contractors willing to build for you? Are you going to design your own enclosure?

Hi Vene. Well, it's gotten more complicated. Not only is my property full of trees, but it's also not at all level. I have five different levels in total. I sure wish I had a nice flat area like you have! LOL. Here is a picture of a small portion of my garden. Those are my banana trees that Handsome just loved to climb. I think the pic may give you a better idea of my jungle dilemma. Right now, I think I'm going to start by enclosing one of my patios and then work on the plans for the outdoor cat enclosure. I'll figure something out. I want to build it without having to remove any trees or plants/flowers (all of which are non toxic to cats). I will have an outdoor cat enclosure built if it's the last thing I do!

You have a much more interesting yard than mine. I would love to have different trees (jungle) and such. The Banana trees would never make it in Buffalo. Just think of all the fun your future cats will have!

Wow, how many patios do you have? I have none although I'm considering building one this summer. You are smart so I bet you can buy parts at Home Depot or Lowes, do research, and build your own enclosures. Get your friends together and have them help you with the project. I don't think it'll be that hard, it'll be a pain in the derriere though. Keep us posted!

I'm envious of your yard. Milo would have a ball there and might never come home if he ever visited your yard.

I would love to have trees in my yard like that!! My back yard looks like poorly placed sod most of the year ascide from my shed its as flat as it gets.

I bet your garden is gorgeous! I saw these things once that you can put around trees or at the tops of fences to prevent cats from escaping. I wonder if you built the cat enclosure around the trees if you could use something like this to prevent the cats from climbing out by way of the trees. I'll see if I can find the website for these later so you can see what I'm talking about.

Hi Vene. I have two patios that could be enclosed. LOL about Milo not wanting to come home if he played in my garden.

Hi Nern. I know the tree 'things' you are talking about. I thought about those, but I decided I wanted the enclosure completely enclosed, because after what happened to Handsome I don't want any wildlife to be able to get into the enclosure. I think I found a good area to build the enclosure. It's not a huge area, but it will do. Besides, I plan on harness training the kitties, so they will have plenty of time to walk around outside.

Hi Obelix. You should consider doing a little gardening in your yard. I enjoy it a lot.
