Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula

    Any tips, I have researched them a lot. I just want to know what people think of them.

    No I havent bought one yet, I want to get some opinions first. Spiders dont phaze me, so dont even worry about it.

    They're know to be a great beginner spider as they tend to be a very calm tarantula and rather hardy (not to mention a commonly available species).

    I also think that they're a rather nice looking tarantula. When I was considering getting a tarantula last year this was actually one of the top species on my list, next to the Desert Blonde.

    I was curious about the housing they would require. Most sites claim ten gallons is enough, but they are often vauge on what is needed for heating. Do you have any knowledge on this topic? I would want to be getting a femal spider of course (due to the longevity), do they usually sell them or does the sex need to be requested?
