We have a neigbor who lives in a small house of the property of one of our back pastures and his name is Frank. He's in his 70's and has two dogs a 12 year old Silky Terrier I think named Marbles and a Chocolate Lab named Buddy. Buddy is 11 months old just like Slicker and they never met until yesterday. When the dogs airn't working they get the run of the place to do whatever they want. Ember tends to stay with the cattle I think it makes him nervouse to think of them unwatched. While the Kelpies and Ginger and Slicker just kinda roam around the farm. Yesterday I saw Slicker playing with anouther dog I almost thought it was Ember for a second other then color and ears. I whistled and Slciker came running full throttle with this lab running up right behind him tail wagging like crazy. I called Frank and let him know that Buddy was here and asked if he would like to come and get him or if he could play with slicker longer and then I would drive him home. Frank said to just let Buddy stay and play that he needed it since Marbles is so old Buddy really doesent have a play mate. I brought Buddy back to his house 6 that evening.

I caught Buddy today watching from his backyard as we were moving the cattle today and im thinking he knows everday when we do it. About an hour after wards Buddy showed up to play with Slicker. Both me and my husband get a kick out of it and its fine as long as Buddy comes only after work is done and not a distraction to Slicker. PLus Slicker is the youngest over here as well and i think gets on the older dogs nerves at times especially Vox lol. Just thought it was cute and Buddy is already home trying to get him home before any predators come out.
