Coffee looks like he's dying

Hi, I'm new to this forum but I need some advice on what to do with my cat.
He doesn't want to drink or eat anything and just sleeps from here to there where nobody can find him.
He looks as if he's extremely tired and barely has the strength to walk.
My mom has been force feeding him but everytime he tries to eat it, he screams with a wild "WAAAA".
He's around 3 years old, and I have no intention of letting him die like this.
We haven't been to the vet yet, but that's my dad's choice.
I don't want him to die, please somebody try to help.
Advice is also much appreciated.

P.S. Coffee is the name of my cat, and he is a Ragdoll breed.

Please get Coffee to a Vet immediately. He may have something stuck in his mouth or stomach which makes it painful for him to eat and drink. You said it's your Dads choice to take him, How old are you? Can you make the decision also?

 

Well, I'm 14 and it's his word against mine.
My family has been having finacial problems and that's the part of the story that's keeping my dad from bringing Coffee to the vet.
Now, it's scary to force feed him food so we just force some water down every day.
I have no money, and I really can't do anything about it.
I don't know what to do.
He can barely open his eyes now, and I hope that he'll get better.
Please, if anyone has any advice that might help, I'd be more than grateful to hear it.

 

Kitty is ill and needs Vet Care

I can understand that your cat is ill and sounds like it is getting much worse. I just lost my favorite cat Sassy, she died of a stroke. I will pray for you and your litty. Let us know the outcome.

The same thing happened to my cat when I was young. It turns out she swallowed a needle and thread and was in a lot of pain. The needle cut through several layers of intestines. She had surgery and ended up living a healthy, long life after. Please get him in to the vet right away. If you can't afford treatment, you need to surrender him to a no-kill shelter or humane society. Time is of the essence here! Good luck.

 

Well, my dad surrendered him to a help center, I hope that he's gonna get better and be happy once again with another family

 

I'm sorry you had to say goodbye to Coffee, but it was the best way for him to get the help he needed. I hope he has a long and happy life too.

 

That is sad that you had to give up your kitty but at least you dad did the right thing. Now your kitty can be helped and hopefully find another good home. Take care.

 

that is so sad...please don't let your family get another pet until the finances are in order to be able to take care of the pet (medically). How very sad for you but you guys did a nice thing in seeking help even though you had to lose your pet.
