Ok for the last week I have been having problems with my ear, i keep feeling something in them, could be an infection, but my mom likes to blame my dogs. She says cause i sleep with Syd I probly got something from her. I dont believe it, I have had dogs for two years and never had anything like this happens. My mom seems to think a flea or something jumped off her into my ear? is this possible? I do cuddle with Syd and usually use her as a pillow...lol...im going to the doctor Friday, just curious if anyone ever heard of getting something in their ear from a dog?

I truly hope its an ear infection, if there is any kind of live thing in my ears i think im gonna faint!

I know that people CANNOT get ear mites, so you are safe from that at least!

jamiya, why can't people get ear mites? are mites lice? or what are they? iforget.
coppersmom, i have heard those nasty stories of bugs crawling in ears too!
this one time, i was working with this lady, suzie, and she toldme she got an ear infection from a candle fly going in her ear. my first question was, what's a candle fly, she didn't know another name for them, later on somoene said it is southern for moth. so anyway suzie said that she has always heard never stick qtips in your ear that is bad for your ear, so she used a bobby pin! ya know those little metal hair pins! she ended up cutting the inside of her ear and it got infected. moral of the story don't stick anything smaller than your elbow in your ear!
i hope your ear will be ok!!

Thanks for the responses! Its both ears that are bothering me.

About a month ago in the middle of the night I woke up screaming cause I swear I felt something go in my ear, I was freaking out, but it was only one ear that night. Now 3 weeks later im starting to feel something in both ears, im hoping everything im feeling is wax draining or something. I really hope i dont have a bug in my ear i will freak out. eww the whole thing gives me the creeps.

have you ever seen those ear candles? i saw them in a gnc store once and thouhgt it had to be a joke, but it wasn't. people really burn these things to get wax out of their ears!

I don't know why people don't get ear mites. I'd have to look it up. But I do know that they can't!

I think if it's both ears than it's unlikely that bugs crawled in there. I know when my allergies flare up, my ears can itch pretty bad and sometimes feel like there's something in there.

And yuck on the bobby pin story!

Hello, I don't really have an explination for you except maybe an ear infection or wax but I have a funny story. My brother, who was like 7, not 3 or 4, picked up a corn kernel and intentionally stuck it in his ear. His expliantion was he didn't know why he stuck it in there, he just wanted to. lol :) It was kinda funny, the fact that he is old enough to know better, but not the hospital bill to have it taken out... He had to go see a nose, throat and ear specialist, not just any doctor. :| Sorry I wasn't really a help, but this story came to mind and I thought I would share...

what you need is to go the the store and get an ear wax removal system which is carbamide peroxide and a bulb syringe if there is a lot of wax jammed in there a doctor can spray it out but still it needs to be lossened.

Put a couple drops of warm Olive Oil in each ear a couple times a day for a week and most ear troubles will clear up.
If you want to double the remedy you can get some garlic iol to add to it or warm the iol in a pan with a fresh clove of garlic in it then allow to cool to touch and use that for the drops.
