We decided to take the girls to Mustang Island, on the other side of Corpus Christi today. They had a BLAST. They absolutely loved the water. THey played in the waves and dug in the sand all day. Their passed out on the living room floor now. Usually they run around and play pretty hard in the evenings, I'm thinkin they tuckered themselves out!!! LOL

    Here's a few pictures. Enjoy!!!

It sounds like they had a blast! I went to South Padre a couple of weeks ago, but couldn't find anywhere on short notice (I only decided to go about 2 months ago) that allowed Ranger and Snickers to come with me. How long of a drive is that for you?

From Victoria, its only about an hr and a half.

Well worth the drive. Here's a few more pics. I have alot on camera. We bought one of the water disposable ones. I'll scan them in when I get it developed.

Me right before we got ready to leave. It was such a fun trip. The girls LOVED it.
I gave them baths before we left at the portable showers, everyone there thougt it was so funny.

I haven't taken the boys to a beach yet but I remember my old Lab Jake thought sand was God's gift to dogs. He also embarrassed the h**l out of me at Galveston by wading into the surf with swimmers around and pooping. Luckily I managed to do a water poop scoop before anyone noticed.

I haven't ever taken our dogs to a beach either --- I think I'm too worried they would eat the sand!
Showering them off by the beach house is a great idea!

    Beautiful pictures!

We took our Golden on a fishing trip once. He loved being in the boat and hanging out on the pier --- but he wouldn't go in the water!!

Can you imagine that? A golden retriever with hydrophobia?

He used to love baths (all the touching and pampering) but he wouldn't swim!
