MIL has it in for me now! Apparently the little buggars kept her going all day!

I came home to a pen full of (what at first looked like snow) to later discover it was the pillow they "HAD" to sleep on.

Little Jamiya has the runs, and poor Sarge, he just won't shut up! He seems to only go nuts and yapps when his brothers and sisters leave him to greet me (or anyone else for that matter). SO i spent extra time with him last night, getting him to warm up to me. Still yaps his little head off when approached though..ugh....
I'm stoping this afternoon to get all the shots. Oh they are going to love me for that one!
I got them some chewy bones (neoprene) ones for their teeth. Gina looked at me like I was nuts. She had this little expression on her face like: "you want me to do what with that!"

Jamiya of course got right after it!

Nik has discovered that Jamiya is a girl! He's her new favorite toy at the moment. (Boy they start early these days)

So up went the chicken wire, no more heads stuck in the chain link, and escapee's.

Then it was of to inquire about the urt stray. Very very agressive. She went to the vet and they had to knock her out just to do an exam. She's all patched up now, but I don't know what to do about the agression. Dr is keeping her at his office. He thinks she should be put down. Says she's too far to be helped, and if we did, you never know if the agression is going to get better or worse.
I'm giving her a few more days just to see if she pulls around. I think she's just been soo abused and hurting so bad right now, she's lashing out. But I really don't know. I may just have to end her pain and let her know that she was loved enough that I couldn't let her endure any more pain......what do yall think!

If she's that aggressive it may be best to just put her down. She would never be able to go to a home with children, and anyone who adopted her would have to be very knowledgeable. I hate to say it, but there are so many dogs in need that sometimes it's just better to save the ones that have the best chance at a happy life and let the other ones go to a better place.

I think the same thing, But I hate doing it. I just think that, maybe I can save this one too! Its so hard to say "go ahead with it" when My soul is screaming out, NO! Save her!

But what else could we do? Leave her to lead alife in a pen? Never touchable, always in fear?

I think people suck. They suck for hurting her so badly that you are now faced with this decision. I think you should trust your instincts. You have enough knowledge and experience. What does your gut tell you? Do you think she is too far gone? Do you think you could bring her back or would it be more humane to let her go? I will be praying for both of you! :kiss_heart:

Sam as hard as it may be to do the best thing for the dog in the end is to be euthanized. I have dealt with an aggressive dog before and had to make the decision to have her PTS. The dog will never be able to live a thoroughly happy life when they such overwhelming aggression. And the possibility of adoption has to be ruled out. Unless it is someone who has had experience dealing with aggressive dogs and would take on total responsibility for the dog and it's actions.

I agree. I'm going to stop by to see her this afternoon. I guess I'll make the decision based on what happens this evening.

Oh Sams so sorry about the poor thing. I agree that it is probly best to have her put down. She would not have a happy life and she would be very hard to place. But best of luck in whatever you decide.

Glad to here no more puppies have escaped, are you still convinced they are from mars? They seem to be doing a little better. LOL

First of all- sams- If Jamiya wouldn't yell at me about waiting, I'd drive to Texas and get one myself!

And Gina- What's up with the new addition? How did that come about?

That's all I need Sams - Martian puppies. Maybe Nala can speak to them in their native language. Nala has been in true form the last couple of weeks. I have actually gone into the basement to hide a few times. She's driving me insane!!

Jamiya- I always say to Sarge (and my husband for that matter!) "Where are your people and when are they coming back for you? Will they land their ship in the back yard to pick you up?"

The new addittion was a stray who is totally blind. He is going to stay with me for a couple of weeks. Just long enough to get vaccinations neutered and microchipped. He was foind wondering the streets in Chicago blind as a bat. He has already been adopted he just needs a secure place to stay and heal for a few weeks until his new owners get back from vaction. Im getting pictures sometime this week and I wil post them. I hear he he's a real sweetie.

I am still amused right now that you named them jamyia and sarge. That is so funny. Feel free to call one of your fast hyper dogs puttin LOL

Also, My poodle had aggression, yes I've been bitten by her quite a few times, but with that said along with them came more and more trust. No-one would have kept her. There just was no going back to the shelter for her in my head. She's great now. But do what you think is right. Only THE right person can take a dog like that. I had no idea she was like that, but I stuck to her. Grew so darn close to her I could swear we both have roots connecting to each other. Do whatever your gut tells you to do.

After Charllottes autopsy last night, I went back in the back to check on her, and before I even got to the kennels I could hear her growling at nothing. He said she had been doing that ever since she got there. At her shadow, any slight movements. Everything. So WE made the decision for her to join Char bear. It was quite apparent she had some serious mental problems.

Don't worry, The next ones that come along (and I'm sure Charllotte will point them all in my direction) Will cover the rest of you! I want to honor all of you for being so great. So I'm nicknaming all the little runts after yall!

The pupies are keeping me simi busy today. I went ahead and came on home. They are finally sleeping at the moment..... WHEW!!!

You realize that by naming after everyone you are literally assuring that they will remain CRAZY! I like to think Char will be waiting to help the other little girl over.

Don't be surprised if sometime in the next weeks or months, a dog comes into your life that seems to remind you of Char. It happens, more than people think...
