Death of a Bedspread

At approx 10:45pm last night, the remains of a comforter were discovered by a passer by. In a scene that can only be described as carnage, the lifeless comforter had been dragged from the bed and had the stuffing literally ripped out of it. It was pronounced dead on the scene. The only potential witness, Serene AKA Bean, claimed to be asleep and denied seeing the attack. Investigators are sceptical as she has known affiliations with the prime suspect, Jersey AKA Bug. Jersey was located in the living room, and both were sent to their room in lock down for the night. A replacement bedspread (much smaller in size) was brought in to cover the bed.

You and your comforter have my deepest sympathy. I'm sure your comforter did every thing it could to defend itself. I know the grief your're feeling for the comforter is great, but finding a bedspread to take its place may find you solace for only a short time. The pain of your loss will still be there.

Jersey has confessed to a crime of passion, so as soon as you find peace with the crime inflicted upon such an innocent comforter, the sooner you can move on and find peace within youself and come to forgive Jersey.

In time both you and Jersey can can heal with tender loving care and lots of home therapy. The comforter is in a better place, and will be in your heart forever. It will only get better with time.

Thank you for your kind words. Your right, the replacement quilt is not much comfort....I mean it's a queen, I miss my king. Woke up 3 times with a frozen bum, and cried a little for the poor king, rumpled on the floor. We tried to have the funeral today (but the dumpster was full).

OK I am sure in Canada, as in the US, someone, even a dog , is considered innocent until PROVEN guilty. As the unofficial "attorney" representing Jersey I have a few questions.
First, Was Jersey read his/her rights before being incarcerated? Since there were no witnesses, anything anynone might presume is just that, presumptions and hearsay.
Did the investigators obtain viable DNA samples at the scene of the crime. If not then any evidence obtained now will be tainted and not allowed in as evidence.
Your Honor, my client has been accused of a crime of which there is absolutely no collaborating evidence and therefore I request that all charges be summarily dismissed. If this case goes to trial I can guarantee it will last at least six months, longer if I can line up full time cable TV coverage.
My client has expressed no desire to sue those responsible for this libelous attack on his/her good character and would perfer to put this whole matter in the past and get on with life.
    I rest my case. :D

Since all evidence so far has been circumstantial and there's no smoking gun, maybe put the pressure on Serene, offer her a plea deal and get her to point the paw at the real perpatrator, Jersey.

But more than likely Jersey will plead temporary insanity. Which in that case the Judge would rule to sentence Jersey to one week of being banned from the bedroom and to perform 48 hrs. of home community service by setting a good example on good behavior to Serene.

Another case solved by the Canadian Pet Detectives.

in my house, the loaf of bread massecre!!!

CCSI (Canine Crime Scene Investigators) will be out later to determine the cause of death. Officials believe the dog "Hanky Spanky" as their prime suspect. SHe was caught at the scene of the crime with evidence all over her and the floor. Her only comments were "Whine, ruff ruff ruff, bark, huff".

There must have been some sort of international coordination going on. The conforter that I leave on the couch to protect it from fur and muddy feet has been under attack for a couple of weeks now. The dogs have ignored it for months, but something must have changed. Yesterday they ate it for the last time. Funeral arrangements have yet to be made.

I hope the couch is safe.

Everyone guard everything closely tonight. There is not only a full moon but also a total lunar eclipse. The doggie conspiracy should hit full force.

We too had a death in the "family" today. Buddy, aka Buddy Luck, aka Bubba, chewed to death the new "stronger" cover I made for his and Buffy's pillows. One would think that Buffy was the culprit in this case but evidence showed that Buddy forcefully pulled the pillow from Buffy's crate into his through the little side holes and then proceeded to chew large holes into the fabric. Buddy was quite sneeky about the process and is believed to be a professional in this type of crime as it was committed while my employee Jo and I worked right next to the crates. Buffy IS considered an accomplice because she blocked our view with her body feigning sleep as Buddy carried out the murder. SO very sad when good dogs go bad!!

Nike said he was walking by and saw the whole thing, but that cat would do anything to torment the suspect. Last night Jersey plead out with the "I'm sorry I did bad" defense coupled with a "I'm a lap dog...I love you daddy" ploy...And judge Greg let her off without so much as a warning! (She ate his sock this morning as a thank-you!)
