    for Christmas dinner?
If yes what do your cats do?

Zeus, along with Dixie, head for high ground (under the bed - together, comrades in their time of fear). Zeus, I believe, is still trying to get over the trauma of being caught with his head inside the turkey the first Christmas with us. I think he is still recovering from one of life's most embarrassing moments

Missy, being the diva that she is, hangs out in the thick of things. She wants (demands) everyone love her and adore her for the princess she believes she truly is (it's an incarnate thing). She will primp and preen and give everyone eye kisses just waiting for the words of adoration.

Tilly makes several appearances and usually chooses the one person she can make sneeze or have itchy watery eyes. Or the person who is embarrassed with her armpit sniffing (something we've learned to live with). Ahhh yes - one hasn't been fully greeted by Tilly until she has given their armpits a good sniff.

Dixie is simply anti-social and doesn't care for festivities of any kind. She will however come out for a piece of turkey - after everyone leaves. This is why Dixie won't allow the Christmas tree to be put out. She knows it means people in her house for dinner and that mustn't happen.

I have family members who don't believe Dixie or Zeus actually exist as they've never seen them. Perhaps a fleeting glimpse as a tail disappears under a bed, but that's it. Zeus actually has panic attacks (now there's a surprise) if he finds himself amongst the sea of feet. It's sad watching him try to find a way out, to safety. I can't help him when he does that as I end up wearing 28 claws so it's best to just let him sort it all out and find a whole in the sea in which to escape.

    What do your cats do?

Not hosting this year, but I do host several large gatherings a year.

Artemis makes sure to occupy any recently vacated chair, and refuses to move when the person returns to sit down. Moe just hangs out and shows off ("look how high I can jump!").

I can't believe Zeus put his head in the turkey!
