Do your dogs like ice cubes?

My boys are split, one loves them, one does not. Freckles loves to crunch them up. Sometimes he just carries a cube around in his mouth allowing it to melt. Duke, on the other hand, will take one, thinking its a treat I guess, but then he just spits it out and walks away.

 

Rocky loves ice cubes. Whenever he hears the ice dispenser he'll wait by your feet hoping that a cube will fall out so that he can eat it. He usually plays with it before he eats it.

 

Most of the dogs Ive had love ice cubes, my MIL's dog Shandy prefers frozen peas though.....Its kind of funny watching her, just throw a small handful down and she goes into overdrive grabbing them all.....and talk about the anticipation from her when she sees anyone going to the freezer. :lol:

 

Luther is like Duke, he takes them thinking it is a treat but when it its his mouth he drops it and looks at me like "what's that?"

 

:lol: That is exactly how Dreamer acts when I go to the dispenser. Its soo cute when he plays with it like its one of his toys, then he eats it.

 

When it is really hot outside Buffy and Buddy prefer icecubes to treats. They really like the ones that we scoop out of our glasses of pop or juice!! I have heard that they are also good for a dogs teeth?!? Wish that I thought of them as a treat...........would be better for my waistline than chocolate!! :roll:

 

My dachshunds have always loved ice cubes. I just wish they'd stop burying them under the sofa cushions for later consumption!

 

Yes, my dogs LOVE ICE CUBES.

They also love doggie ice cream. My local ice cream parlor sells doggie ice cream. Our dogs love going to the ice cream stop for a "Paw Cone"
