an escort or audience when they go to the bathroom? Geez, Copper is just RUDE--LOL! I don't bother him when he's in his litter box...well maybe because I'm just so glad that he's in there!

    LOL Mary.
If I don't close the door all the way...one by one several cats and often at least one of the dogs join me.

Charlie always follows me in, if i try to get in the bathroom without him, he will actually push against the door.

Booger follows me to the bathroom, but as soon as I sit down she goes to her box (which is located just outside the bathroom) and does her business the same time as I do LOL

I have no privacy. Sheesh...try to bathe or shower alone with a cat like that!

pepe follows me into the loo and starts meowing at me! sometimes everyone comes in. pheobe almost fell into the loo the other day. she hopped up on the ledge above me. i stood up to flush the toilet and she jumped down at the same time. we collided and she JUST missed the bowl as it was flushing.

yup! both cats will want to come in... but i try to keep them out.. so i get to watch the little paws swiping under the door, or hear Raz's pittiful cries. i hate that cry.

my question is, WHY do animals do this? lol

    that is a good question!

Lately Kyrre has claimed the bathroom (ecpesialy the bathroom sink) to be his, so now I'm the intruder... Lol! But he is always curious when I'm "doing my business", trying to catch the toilet paper every time he gets a glimpse of it  :-&
And when I flush, he will stand on his back legs and stare down the toilet for several minutes. "hey! where dit it go? come back you!"

Tango always follows us into the bathroom, hes done it since he was a kitten, he comes in and gets some fuss then hops up to the sink, and gets a drink from the tap (I think you call a tap something else but I can;t remember what)!
Mitz loves to follow my boyfriend into the bathroom, if he shut her out she will open the door herself (she can open doors by jumping up at the handle and kicking the door with her back legs on the way down) if b/f locks the door she just keeps jumping at the handle and trying to get in until he unlocks the door! lol

Only two of the five bother me in the bathroom. If I shut the door before they get it in, they will scratch and claw at the door in desperation.

Chloe likes to try and get in the closet (which has a huge access hole to the tub's water pipes) - I don't like her in there

Kitters jumps right on the sink (like all the other water-obsessed kitties here) and demands a drink while I'm doing my business. She's polite enough to turn her back on me, though. So, I end up having to stare at her rear end any time I'm in the bathroom.

I have a friend who once drank too much and her Reena (who recently passed due to oral cancer) followed her into the bathroom and decided to peer over the seat just as Karen was losing her lunch - needless to say Reena got a little messy for her curiousity

Eeewwww! I guess that's what curiosity does to the cat!

I'm sure it was fun to try and clean the cat up (especially feeling sick)

Funny post. Funny answers. Socks and Mittens both like to come into the bathroom with me, although not both at the same time. I guess they are afraid they will miss something if they can't get in. Mittens will walk circles aroung the toilet. Embarassing!
